Give Your Prayers Marching Orders

For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. 1 Corinthians 14:2 (NKJV)

Today, I want to introduce you to a powerful secret when it comes to your prayer life. In the above verse, we are shown that when we pray in tongues, no one understands us — including the devil. Praying in the spirit is one of the most powerful weapons that you have been given to communicate securely and secretly with heaven. When we look at Daniel’s life, we see how he prayed to God, yet his breakthrough was hindered because the enemy intercepted his prayers.

In Daniel 10:13, it says, “But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.”

The gift of tongues was not yet given to believers in the Old Testament, and as a result, Daniel’s prayers were intercepted by the enemy. In the New Testament, we have been given the ability to pray in the Spirit — speaking directly to God, where no man or demonic spirit can understand. When we do this, we strike Satan with confusion.

Throughout my ministry, praying in tongues has been one of my secret weapons. The enemy shudders when you, as a believer, begin to pray in your heavenly language. I want to encourage you today to begin to penetrate heaven with your prayers, knowing that you have a secure line of communication with God.

Prophetic Declaration

As I begin to pray the mysteries of God, I intercept the enemy’s plans. I am wreaking havoc in the enemy’s camp. Every plan, plot, and strategy the enemy desired to write against my future is being struck with confusion. Right now, in the Name of Jesus Christ, breakthrough is being released for me.
